Sometimes properties are challenging to sell. Not all units are perfectly maintained or the situation of the seller may make it where it’s very difficult to properly prepare the unit for sale. Regardless of your situation, you need a real estate agent who will be flexible for your unique life situation - not all deals are created equal.

Over the years I have found some agents take a rigid approach to a sale - that could be because they believe it will help their clients net more money or it could be because the agent is looking to put in minimum time on a transaction.

Whatever the reason, I believe it’s important to meet the seller where they are. And everyone is in a different position. While this condo was a very challenging transaction that took a lot of time and elbow grease, we ultimately were able to find an investor that saw the potential of the unit and we sold for a pretty solid price given the current condition of the unit.
