While I primarily focus on Cambridge/Somerville and surrounding areas, I do occasionally do transactions in Newton, as I was raised mostly in Newton Corner and Newton Highlands and have a high degree of familiarity with the Newton market. I also maintain relationships with friends I grew up with who have access to off-market deals in the Newton area, particularly for development opportunities.
26 Lindbergh was the home we had been looking for, for multiple years. We had been viewing many properties in Newton and the market is just so darn competitive, that it was very challenging to find something that both checked my buyer clients boxes AND was winnable.
Ultimately, we found this property and were able to lock it down before ANY public open houses, thereby reducing any competition or the chance for a bidding war, which frankly is the norm for most single families in Newton.
The property is in great condition, with a great flow and a place I believe my buyer clients can call home for many, many years to come. Very happy for my buyer clients and I think it’s important to remember, if you are a buyer, you need to take as much time as you need to find the right place. I applaud my buyer clients here for letting the right home come to them and not feel the pressure of buying quickly just to get into something, anything…a common mistake I see buyers make.
